    casting distance is key in clear water and to achieve depth, so I use a 8lb copoly line (pline) that doesn't sink.

    10lb shooter for me. Soft rod and back the drag off of you are in open water. In timber, I change hooks to g finesse trebles and go to 14lb shooter. I like tough line but I mainly fish them around cover. 10lb shooter you can feel the tick real well on slack line

    I do it a little bit different. 30lb braid with a 12lb Invisx on a spinning rod. I really like short snaps when working the bait. Gets bit !
