    Frankin Pierce

Spent the better part of the day installing a pair of Echomaps, new fuel filler necks & surge valves on the old gal before heading to FP at 5:00 to put some more break-in time on the LU and fish a little. Water is still down 12"-14", but the ramp and dock are usable. Water temp was running 49-52. Got one 2# fish in the very back of a spawning (eventually...) pocket out of 1' of water on a spinnerbait. Hit one other very similar spot to no avail. Thinking of heading to Northwood for today, and maybe try out the fuel fill system, if I can afford it:)

Hope you guys did better than we did, but sounds like a LOT of people struggled today. I haven't the slightest clue where those fish went hahaha. We started at Powdermill and got two each, but just couldn't locate anything anywhere, and we combed that lake. Bailed and went to Otter Lake for a few hours and same deal. Either the very cold night last night shut them down and they were buried in deeper veggies, or they were working hard to stay well away from the boat today wherever we went.

Went to Clement from 11:30-3:00 and struggled as well. Water up to low 50’s but fish hard to find or damn near impossible.lol got one on a small swim bait and one on a fluke. Both fish about 9inches. A few pickerel but really nothing doing. The weeds were dead and smelly.

Made it to Northwood. Water temp throughout was high 50s, up to 62 even! Checked a shallow area first - big schools of golden shiners (probably doing their spring thing). No bites or bass seen there or near some other pockets, or around a couple of main lake points that lead into these areas. I did get one slope-headed bankrunner down near the dam on a SB.

Made it to Franklin pierce on Sunday.
    Water temp was 55-57.
A windy slow day. All I got was 3 small mouth on a drop shop. My friend got skunked.

Came close to joining you there, ended up at Stumpfield. Nice and warm there, grass hasn't gotten started yet and super clear. Nothing up shallow or in laydowns except toothy critters.

Still a good day given how weird this spring has been so far. We went to Dublin on Sunday and the water was still a frigid 47 out there, but we got 15 smallies on the day.

Beware, that's one of the worst ramps I've ever used. Doesn't look bad til you bounce your way in hahahaa

Am I the only one that hasn't been there yet . ?

This is a trout pond correct ?
It seems I get the idea to fish it ever year in the fall after it's closed for the season.

I haven't been there either. It used to be no motors iirc. Anytime I thought about checking it out, I ended up at Nubanusit.

Yup it's a designated trout pond. Bring muck boots for launching, it's very shallow for a ways so it's nearly impossible to get the boat right to the bank.

I'd probably just use my pelican.
