Sorry let me clarify, battery charger port. Just wondering where to drill into the boat and mount it.

Added this to my 1880. My outlet is straight over head in the Garage ceiling. Drop the cord down and plug it in.

Is that the Noco brand and if so how’s it holding up?

Its a NOCO. Being that its just a plug its been perfect. Much better than having a cord in the bilge.

So you just drill hole big enough to install/mount the NOCO plug in area conveniently close enough to plug the charger's cord into it from the inside?

Its a little more complicated than that.
The cord for the charger is pretty short. In my case I cut the plug off of the charger cord. Then soldered and sealed in a length of cord to get to the side console. Soldered and sealed the cord to the NOCO plug. Is a bit of work but worth the effort.

I used the thru-hull plug NOCO makes.

I soldered my connections and then used
adhesive lined heat shrink over the soldered wires. Then one larger piece over the entire connection.

Only a little clear marine silicone. No need to use 5200 or anything permanent.

What is that plug in the middle? Guessing for transducer.

Anyways, I do not recommend the Minn Kota/ Marinco plug. It's cheap and flimsy. It's a clam shell design and only a small plastic pin is holding onto the back of the plug. Also your plug may not fit tightly in that clam shell.

The NOCO plug is superior to the MK plug.

Also I didn't use any sealant on my NOCO plug. It has a rubber gasket. You shouldn't have to worry about water intrusion unless you're submerged.

    Wanted to update this.

I've been using the NOCO plug for almost 3 years. I hookup a generator to charge my batteries. A 10' 12/3 extension cord.

Typically hooked up twice a week from Spring to early fall.

Last week, my generator went into protected mode showing too much draw. This is weird as hell since my charger draws max of like 700w and this is a 1700w/2000w generator. I reset the generator and replug the charger back on. It stumbled for a sec and was charging fine.

Well this week I went camping and went to plug my charger in with the extension and noticed the ground pin is stuck in the extension. Took a look at the NOCO plug and sure enough, it's broken. Charging still works as is. If needed to, can run the cord to the bilge and disconnect the NOCO so easy fix.

Ordered a replacement since it'll use the same holes.

Don't know if this was just wear and tear. Maybe my extension plug is too tight.
