    Anti-Fouling Paint

    Can I use Interlux Aqua One on the bottom of the engine mount that sits in the water when the engines are raised?
    Are the engine mounts made of aluminum or steel?

    I do not know the composition of Interlux Aqua One anti fouling paint. The factory does not recommend ‘metal based’ anti fouling paint. This means no copper based paint for sure.
    The ‘stern brackets’ that bolt the engine to the transom, you call them engine mounts, are aluminum. Look to see if you have anodes already attached to these brackets. Use the parts catalog here to see what your engine requires. https://epc.brp.com/Index.aspx?lang=...7-4f28b0b531c6

    Aluminum=no bottom paint.
    Not spending $50/qt for Trilux 33........

    Suggestion. Make sure the anodes have continuity to the brackets. Loosen the anode screws, wiggle the anode and retighten the screws.

    Need a slap in the head emoji; I never thought people would paint over the anode; but I guess I just don’t know what to say at this point
