2016 triton trx 21 prop and speed issue

hey guys I am new to triton boats just bought a 2016 trx 21 with a 250 pro xs and an atlas jack plate my old boat did not have a jack plate and was set up prefect when i bought it so didn't have to mess with anything, issue i am having with the triton is speed but after setting the prop to pad at 2 1/2 im getting decent speed and handle out of the boat but issue i am having is when getting on plane the boat is blowing out pretty bad when starts to tip over on plane it has a tempest plus 3 blade 24p with 3 large vent plugs, i am new to all this stuff any help guiding in the right direction would be awesome.

    Thanks
    Rusty

When getting on plane, not sure speed, last night when it was getting on plane it was 3000 rpm and as soon as it tipped over it slammed over to 4000 rpms. On plane tournament load, two people and 3/4 tank fuel, wide open throttle, 5200 rpm and getting about 55-56 mph. Im sure it will run faster just trying to figure it out.

Plug all holes for Tempest. Should keep it from blowing out. Fury should be run with holes open

Normally on that boat you would run a 25 fury or 26 tempest. Fury is faster with light load. But Tempest will carry a load better. PTP should be approximately 3.25 for Fury and 2.75 for Tempest.

I have hit 76mph with light load with 25 fury. Usually run 72-73mph with two people and tourney load. I recently got a Croxton 26 pitch Tempest but haven't had a chance to try it yet. The whole key with this boat is bow lift. If you can get the nose up. It'll run. Past 66 mph you'll have to drive it.
