    2022 919 ProXP speeds??

I have a couple month old 2022 919 with a 225 Merc, poles, 24 Fury, 3 G31LA batteries for the TM and X2AGM for the cranker. I don't carry a lot of tackle in the center box, 15 rods total, and have about 15 or so lbs of plastics behind the driver's seat. Driver and passenger typically around 400lbs. For you 919 owners with similar set-up what is your approximate tournament loaded speeds? Thanks for your consideration.

I don’t have poles on mine. I have seen 76 with a 24 fury and 75 with a 23 fury. That was both with empty wells and 1/2 tank of gas.

Thanks guys!! My present 24 Fury is getting no where close to what you guys are getting in speed or RPMs. Time to try some more props I guess. Thanks again!

    Has anyone running a bravo 1 on a 919? 25 or 26 pitch?

Not yet, props are hard to come by in our area. Gonna try another Fury this evening. Will update if results are good.

Have you checked your prop to pad measurements? Start there before swapping props.

Yeah, I left out the part where I had an Atlas. I've tried different running heights and can't seem to get over 5600 and change with a 24 Fury and what I consider a light tournament load. Hole shot is very slow with wells full. Lookin like I may need a 23???

This is why I mentioned the bravo 1. My 919 will be delivered in a few months and I DO NOT want a fury 3. Every boat ive ran one has had the same issue. They run great on a light boat. Once you add 4 batteries, livewells full, full gas tank and a tournament partner they are junk. They do not carry a load well at all. You may loose a couple mph on the top end with the bravo, but it will out perform in every other aspect and outrun the fury loaded.

I found the 23 fury to be best on mine. 25 is way too big. I have a 24 and can only turn it 5800ish.

I've heard that the BravoFS is a good wheel for a 919 but have not seen any feedback as to what pitch, 25,26, or possibly one of the half sizes???

Either 25 or 26......What sucks is a 25 is simply a 24 pitch with added cup to get the RPMs down.

I totally agree on all points. Looking like I may roll the dice and have my dealer order a 25 Bravo. Probably going to take a year to get it!!!

I've got a 919 with a sho, so I know this is a apples and oranges, but with the sho, it likes to run really high. This will help get more rpms, and playing with the slip calculator you can find that balance between height/rpm/speed.

I've ran 77.2 as the fastest speed in mine. Cooler weather, 1 person, tackle for 2. One thing I've noticed, is weight in the back is a good thing. I have 4 heavy agm batteries, poles, spare prop, and generally get the fastest speed around 1/2 tank of fuel. My motor is raised a hole on the plate, and when flat out, I run my plate all the way up to 20 on the atlas gauge. In the cooler months, I can run 6150 rpms (6200 limiter), and can tell a huge difference between 5800 and 6100. I know it's a different setup, but I'm usually running 1" below, or even higher.

Edit:. Just measured mine, I'm 3/4" below pad all the way up on the plate.

Wow that’s high. The problem with the Fury is if it runs that high and surfaces it will sling blades.

Yep. COMPLETELY different lower unit and setup with the SHO. Fury definitely runs with a light load. I have spent more money and time than I care to admit trying different propellers on boats.....I would be very interested to see how a 22-23 FXP would run.

Occasionally I wish I had went SHO just so I could flash the ECM to 300 HP. That being said I have seen 76.1 with the 225 Merc.

Trust me, I almost ordered an 819 with a 200SHO just to flash it. I just couldn't imagine dropping that kind of coin and end up doing something and getting in a bind with yamaha and warranty etc.
