    Candlewood

Goin up there this weekend to fish here. Never been here before. Anyone have an idea on the composition of this lake? Rocks, laydowns, sand? It's looks like on the depth map that a good portion of the lake drops off quickly.

There are only a limited amount of people who look here
Example there is only 1 person viewing this thread

There are no secrets as fish will be from 1ft to 60ft
Millfoil will be starting to grow fish will be looking to spawn
Find the flats next to deep water and begin your search
    Largemouth and smallmouth
Hair jigs for smallies cranks for both

There is pretty much everthing to fish you could think of. What ever you spring style is, you can do it. Its a favorite to fish, for me. But sat in summer mid day, have your life paper work in order, Will, life insurance, power of attorny, Health care proxy. Etc....

I caught a Largemouth on a nest on Wednesday in 55-56 degree water on another Ct. lake.

So possibly the smallies will be moving shallow, usually in the afternoon this early in the year.

45 MPH is the speed limit, sometimes they check the speeds, usually when there is a big tournament, but you never know.

I'm up here now and see a lot of rocks and boulders in this lake with a fairly quick drop off in a lot of parts but there is some flats and shoals. Plenty fishable water from what it seems.

Good luck. I've never been there.
I hope you catch some big ones
