Heading to Gaston and Buggs today

I'm Going to be there for 5-6 days. We'll be staying at Gaston and trailering to Buggs a couple of times starting today. It looks like we
will be there in the mddle of a cold front. But, you take what Mother Nature gives you and have fun.

Highs 60 and 70, not much of a cold front. Buggs is 1.5 over full pool, Should be able to find some bushes in the water and flip a craw style bait.

Well Tuesday at Kerr was not the best day. Fish for 4 hours we had three fish not much size. Started fishing at Gaston Wednesday and starting Wednesday afternoon through Saturday we caught more spotted bass than I’ve ever seen in my life. They were some quality inn mixed in with them some weighing 2 1/2 and a couple threes. 90% of the fish caught so have been spots. Not very many largemouth to be caught. The Bass are starting to spawn there are two beds in front of the house and we saw one male guarding some fry. Most of our fish are coming on wacky worms and green and green pumpkin finesse worms. Today, Sunday we caught a few this morning but the lake is a zoo with all the weekenders. It’s been a good trip especially when you consider the numbers.
