What temp are you at WOT

What temp are you running WOT?
I hit 194 degrees on my graph today after about 10 mins WOT, no alarms, 18 psi water pressure.

WOT? When is the last time that you changed your thermostats?

If I mentioned the temperature at which the alarm comes on, I doubt that I would be believed.

Might want to get a Tempil stick and find out if you're overheating or have a bad coolant temp sensor(s?). Service manual says tstats starts to open at around 140 and are full open at 150.

Right but full open doesn't necessarily mean max operating temp...?? I cruise in that range all day long but when I run WOT for awhile she warms up...

The temperature thermosensor on a V6 SHO model is not measuring coolant (water) temperature. It is measure the block temperature. Up high underneath the flywheel.

Thermosensor not to be confused with the two thermoswitches.

So the NMEA data is showing the block temp at the thermosensor which could go as high as 302 before shutting down? Do they make a water temp display for nmea 2k or analog at the thermoswitch/water temp?

Yamaha offers a water temperature gauge that can be added. Requires a different thermostat cover.

WOT @ 6130, yes. It has always run 143-146 since new!
