    Question Prop identity questions

I’m looking at a Mercury Tempest Plus prop that the seller says was removed from a new Nitro bass boat. He said he wanted to go with a 4 blade prop, so he removed the Tempest prior to ever using it.

The prop doesn’t have any model numbers stamped on it, just that it’s a Mercury Marine Tempest Plus, and that it’s a 17 pitch.

    See photos.

Is this a “new”, older version of the Tempest Plus?

Is it actually a “new” version?

Could it be a prop that Mercury makes specifically for Bass Pro Shop, hence no model number?

Look in the end of the barrel and you should find a Mercury part number.

There isn’t one in the barrel or on the hub.
