    Walleye in Buggs Island

I have fished Buggs Island since the mid 1980's and have never heard of a walleye being caught. Two weeks ago I caught two nice ones in the same places where I was catching bass. Was this a fluke or are they becoming more plentiful in the lake?

Gaston has had some since the the late 90’s for sure. Caught 3 back to back to back cast off Eaton’s Ferry Bridge in a club tournament there in 2001. They were all really good size also.

Never heard of them in the lake. Just hybrid or rock fish fish as we call them,
    With the broken lines.
Next time I am up there. Iam going to ask the Park Ranger.

I have a neighbor who spends a week each spring on Buggs. Last year he sent me photos of a pair of 4 lb. walleyes that he caught.
