is this the best prop for my set up? 2022 skeeter zx200

i have a 2022 Skeeter zx 200 with a 2022 200hp SHO. it came with a yamaha SHO vmax ss 3 blade 15 1/8 t2 23 prop. Does anyone have a idea on whether i should purchase another one as a spare or go with different brand, pitch, etc. They are too pricey for trial and error. i'd like to get the best performance i can on hole shot and top end. its confusing to me when trying to change prop size and what may or may not fit this outboard.

i've only taken her out once to start the break-in and only did 4 hours. i havent had it at full throttle yet. but got to 62mph at about 4500 to 4800 rpms.

I'm guessing it will run in the upper/mid 60's. Take your time and get thru the break-in procedure, then we can focus on performance. The 23 will provide hole-shot and throttle response, which is what I prefer. A taller prop might offer a couple more mph, but you'll typically sacrifice hole-shot and throttle response.

ok thank you. i will get through the break in. and i was checking here because i would like to carry a spare prop and I've seen many posts with T2 blades being thrown or cracked. so i was wondering if i should get another type as a spare or if the prop i have is dependable enough to purchase another one.

hey 101....did you ever try other props on this setup? I have 2018 ZX200 with 2020 SHO, same prop as you. Its good but wondering if a different prop might yield bit more top end without killing hole shot. (running ~68ish with light load, 65ish 2 guys and gear)

Simple answer is yes. It is what the designers of the boat deemed best for the typical load that boat will see.
