    Conroe boat ramps question

Is there anyplace on Conroe where you can safely launch and demo a boat in a heavy south or SE wind? Or any other smaller lakes in the area? I'm looking at a used boat and the fcst is 15-25 mph winds the next few days.
    Thanks

Scott's Ridge would be my choice in that situation.

In a SSE wind the public 830 ramp would be okay as well as guadlaharrys off of 1097. scotts ridge is protected however if your not familar with the area there are plenty of stumps to hit. Also lakeview and april plaza would be good options as well.

I launched at Scott’s Ridge yesterday in 15mph SE winds with no issues.

Could launch at April Plaza or Stowaway as well. I would pay the fee before dealing with the at the 830 Ramp if on the weekend.
