I used 4# XL for years. Now I am trying a WF3F and WF4F line.

Mr Crappie 6# for both spinning rods and fly leader tippet. We don’t have very clear water so the little guys aren’t line shy. The 6 lets me pull out of snags with fewer break offs than 4. Almost that time again. I need a big plate of bream fillets badly. This wind needs to STOP!!!!!

By far the best braid I've cast, especially for light plastics rigged on 1/32-1/16 oz jigs. Never frays and knots never comes undone.
No need to use a f/c leader IMO - the lure has good action regardless plus zero strectch means better strike detection and long distance hook sets.
Even works great on spincast reels and with lures under a float.
I use 8#test/ 2lb diameter and can pull my row boat toward a snag with the fishing pole.

Another is Hercules braid - a bit smaller in diameter per # test but as good.
