Steering Cable Help! - Champion 191DC

    Hello,

Cable went bad on my buddies Champion. I told him it'd be easy and we ran into a bit of a hiccup.

    - cut old cables and pulled through with one single paranoid rope
    - not many access points
    - switch panel would be good access but so many wire and not much play/couldn't get it out of the way comfortably

When pulling the new cables back toward motor, be get hung up every time. Sometimes the rope pulling pushes the cable back!?? (We made sure to retape behind the nut to not let the cable extend)

Spent 3 hours and now she sits without steering.

    Any tips? Thank you!

Apparently the passage way for the cable is smaller than the cable nut.. Try pulling/installing cable from the back toward the front.. To do so, you would have to disconnect the cable from the rack.

two at a time? Get two more pieces of rope and pull them through. Do one cable at a time. You will have to take the motor off to get the cable ends in, if you haven't done it.. One at a time or put one nut behind the other and tape them up, kind of a cone shape so the slip through.
