    Quality control??

Anyone else seen or found this?? 2022 CX19...this is in the storage box behind driver seat. We missed them during walk around, but found when a bag snagged them when loading the boat.

That looks like a jackplate control box. I'd assume that was installed by the factory, and I've never seen that. My Caymas is not like that.

I would get rid of the sheet metal screws all together, go with machine screws, flat washers and nylon insert nuts with the nuts on the battery compartment side.

I would not do anything until you hear from your dealer, somebody screwed up for sure, they will fix it and do it right!!

I reached out to the dealer and am waiting for them to respond. It really is a super easy fix and I have already purchased the SS hardware to replace the screws. Just hate having the 2 holes right there. Surprising how short those screws are to go through that. Maybe they will send me a free hat or something lolol.... otherwise I don't see it being worth sending all the way back to TN for. BUT def wanted someone to see that was missed and should never escape. Not downing the brand as I looked at a LOT of boats before making my purchase. Humans put these together by hand and every once in a while something will slip through. Thats life!!

I agree and thought I should have added that after I walked away from my pc. But the factory or dealer should have done it right the first time.

Billy, I commend you on your reaction to this error.

I'm sure the Caymas people will take care of this quickly.
You might even get a couple of hats .

Thanks - Had the screws been through the hull, or maybe into the livewell I might have reacted a little bit differently. But here its just a matter of knowing that they are there.

With that out of the way I would just get me a couple s.s bolts with lock nuts and replace. Should be good for maybe a free oil change if you ask me!!

Right? Plus it looks like they rounded that screw head out pretty good... Hopefully they were more careful on anything else they attached to your rig.

I would try using rivets install from the locker side or machine screws with cap nuts
