Got out today ahead of the cold front. I had a very good day at Anna and caught a pre-spawn fish and numerous females on beds. The girls were locked on them. I hooked one twice and she got off. She broke me off on the third try and still went right back. I picked up another rod and caught her on the next cast. Most of the better bedding fish were in 4-6 foot of water. Wind got up about 1:30 so sight fishing became difficult. I used my 360 and a c-rig to fish a few spots with the wind blowing. I had another fish break me off and I caught her about 5 casts later after I re-tied the C-rig. Twice in one day. I caught a few that had already spawned. very few lulls from 8am to 4pm.
taking a buddy from Pittsburgh to the Potomac Sunday so I will see how the front impacts them.
