This sunday will be the bulk spawn. I have not been to StClair in 2 years. I'm not fighting the crowds. Sad.

yesterday there was so many boats on the miles roads that any spot you stopped at you had between 20 and 30 boats in close proximity and 80% were out of towners

Don't crucify me, but I'll be one of those out of towners this Sunday. Making a one day trip from Cincinnati area. 4hrs each way. Better fishing than the flooded Ohio river!

Hey I get it this is a great fishery but please help us keep it that way

You don’t need to take a photo of every 2 pounder you catch
Watched two guys yesterday do this and they even swapped camera/fish so they both looked like they caught it

And don’t be like the guy from Ohio yesterday that parked his big motorhome and bass boat in the prep lane the night before and was still asleep at 7AM even with all the traffic

Last but not least it would be nice if you drop a little coin at the local tackle shop, fast food joint or restaurant

Tis the season I suppose. We are looking for new water. I'm not playing bumper boats on the Mile Roads and becoming a victim of the bent pole guy. It sounds like the Grosse Pointe strip to the mouth of the river or Anchor bay kinda day near the channels . My son showed me a YouTube video and they were all plus fish out that way. Just need to find em .

I'll be heading out tomorrow and Saturday. I was hoping that high gas prices might keep some of the out of towners away, but I guess not. I'll likely try some out of the way places.

I was out on Thursday near the tower and I counted 39 boats near me lol
I’m cool with it though, everyone’s out there doing the same thing. Everyone that day was friendly and even had some good convos with some boats near me.

Caught about 25 smallies. Biggest was 3.7 for me that day.
    jerkbaits and swimbaits were key.
Also caught one White Bass, hit like a freight train. They were roaming around that area too.

I was thinking about Muscamoot, isn’t that a hot spot during spawn? This is my first spawn here on LSC but I remember seeing videos on it. I drove by on my way back and didn’t see any boats there.

I was out yesterday. Things weren't terrible. I had a pretty good school going, and of course all the boats moved in and shut them down. I could see them on the Active Target, but they would not bite once everyone moved in. I changed locations and had a large piece of water to myself. I was seeing a lot of fish on the Active Target, but they were not as willing to bite. I ended up with about 25, plus two walleye on back to back casts, so it was nice to take a few home. Headed out here in a few minutes. I expect it to be an absolute zoo today. Water was 66 when I left yesterday around 5:30pm.

We caught good numbers Sunday, but lacked quality. Two fish at 4lbs and we ran into a bunch of small fish in Anchor Bay. Between SM and LM we probably caught around 75 bass.
