    Power Poles

Guys with poles, how often do you really use them? I'm primarily a swallow water fisherman so I think I will use them enough to justify it but I'm struggling on convincing myself to spend the money.

I know the go fast guys don’t care for them, but I fish out my Bullet. I use them more than I imagined I would. Have set on tin rig as well. Invaluable fishing tool when launching, loading, wind, current or retying. Consider reaching out to Rich at Hydrilla Gear (Bullet owner) and board sponsor that is very knowledgeable.

Based off what I've been reading, the Power Pole Blades seem better even though a little higher. Plus I found a company that does wraps for the Blades so that i can make them purple.

I use my poles more than I use spot lock. Which is a lot.

Not on a Bullet, but I use the PP's every time I fish probably not as much as I spot lock though.

I have a set of 10'ers on my 20XDC and use the heck out of them, I have spot lock too, and use them both about the same amount. I wouldn't want to be without either. Sure helps reduce the wear and tear on the body for this ol man..

If I fished lakes that were shallow or had enough shallows to be feasible, I’d more than likely own a set of poles.

Not a Bullet, but they are the best toy for the toy I have purchased. 10ft's on my last ranger and 8's on this one. I fish LOZ and it is probably not generally considered a shallow lake, but I use them every time I go out.

I used mine a lot when the Chick was below full pool in spring. Not so much now that I have spot lock. Bullet 250 is probably right. May be in the way for a back seater/co-angler when not deployed.

I fish lake champlain / squam lake boat usually in 25ft + depth poles would do nothing but get in the way of my son fishing on back , useless for launching and loading son drops me in and out . I noticed all the guys complaing about hole shot or top end are running poles. I do "fish" and go fast , poles would not help me at all. For now no poles

I have two on my Triton and use them a lot. I haven’t put any on my bullet (yet). I fish shallow water only.

With the hydrilla gear mounts and 8 footers they do not get in the way. There so tight to the motor that it’s basically no difference. More of a shield for the motor on each side :)

Most South Carolina lakes are useless for Poles outside of the spawn and loading or unloading at ramp.

I use my poles way more than spot lock, but I mainly fish shallow rivers. Won't buy a boat without them.

When I had my bullet I didn’t want to add a pole cause how it “looked” on the back of my bullet. But then I got one and couldn’t figure how I’d ever lived without it. Bullet was light thou and I would spin on the wind. So I added a second pole and again wondered how I ever fished without 2. Lol.

Just get the custom mounts from Hydrilla and the poles tuck in nice and look pretty slick.

At the end of the day, the bullet still look great and it became a better fishing tool with poles.
