I fished Conroe yesterday and at about 10 it got really bad. I really only fish Tuesday or Thursday and it seem like every week for the last two months it rains on Tuesday and is post front and windy on Thursday.

Hate the wind here as much as anyone else but have to say it's not bad compared to when I lived in Kansas

I'd gladly take the rain. Have had only 2.05" since the first of November.

I just moved to Texas (Magnolia) from Louisiana and this wind has been really frustrating. I’m used to fishing canals and bayous where you can hide from the wind. I’m trying to learn Conroe since it’s so close but between the wind and and the insane boaters I feel like I’m going crazy.

    It's relentless !
EVERY damn day- and I'm talking about gusts to 60 not uncommon.. have to run my windshield wipers every morning to clear the dust off. Starting to understand why folks killed there self during the dust bowl. gets depressing..

Folks here in Abilene start freaking when it hits about 35. I tell them that ain't s&%t that 50+ is common in the spring up on the high plains. They look at me like I'm crazy. Guarantee you fences would be on the ground if they got winds around here like we had in Plainview.

Most record books show Amarillo to be the windiest city in the U.S.
Got a little break Saturday.. Mid afternoon it was sustained at 37 gusts to 51.

True that--- but a little less wind and ANY rain would answer a lot of prayers.
