    19vee, 115 merc??

My neighbor just purchased an older 19vee and went out and purchased a newer 115hp merc. He says his hull is under 1000 lbs. Is this enough motor for that boat?

I would think 150-175 would be more satisfying.

The 115 will probably run in the 50's if that will make him happy.

115 will run just fine, won't be a speed demon but it will sip gas

This. A 115 frankly will be a dog. MIGHT run 50.
