    Dayton area

    I spent Monday/Tuesday in Dayton for work... and having never been there spent some time just touring around the town, lake, etc. Wow- what a nice community it seems to be. We want to retire on a lake outside of middle TN but within a reasonable distance... for those that live in the Dayton area why wouldn't you retire there? I appreciate any honest feedback. Thanks.

    I live 45 minutes down the road just across the state line in NW Georgia. Lived here all my life (68 years) and couldn't imagine living anywhere else.

    If I were retiring to fish I would not move to Dayton. Most Saturdays the ramps there are packed with tournament boats. I would look in the Center Hill or Norris lake areas myself
