    Modified bladed jigs (Chatterbait)?

Do many of you modify your bladed jigs or chatterbaits? I decided to try this out and it's really worked out well.

I need to play around with it with some other plastics as well. I was think small lizard or brush hog. Curious if anyone has tried some different plastics.

Do you go vertical or horizontal with those chigger craws? Seems like it would mimic fishtail swimming vertical.

I rig the chigger craw horizontal.
Usually when I'm ripping it off the bottom and trying mimic a crayfish.

Anyone tried these on a regular jig?

I suppose it would require a jig with a vertical eyelet.

I’m currently trying out a ultavibe craw on one. Not sure about, lots of action but no bites. Of course water was 43 degrees so not best test.

Did I miss something? I didn't see the chatterbait being modified.

That's money when they are chewing. I've been using it for a few years.

He took off the skirt and replaced it with the tube and bit of worm right at the end of the video. There is some appeal. 1) You can essentially change the color very easily in the boat. II) The tube's tails give a lot of action, but that action is a lot closer to the hook, which IMO is a good thing. C) It makes it easier to experiment with different color blades while using the same color of tube. iv) Jackhammers are expensive, so this should help save some dinero to buy gasoline.
Don't bother me, I'm screwing for virginity.

Ok thanks. Poor cell service here so I couldn't view the whole video.

Thanks. Sees like you can mimic shad, bluegill, or crawfish depending how you wanted to rig that. Thanks for the reply

Those got pretty good reviews. I might have to sample some of those. Thanks for posting that.

Your probably right, best to compare when they are biting your normal set up and compare the two.

I bet your beating them up in northeast Ohio on the Portage Lake chain.

That gasoline was a bit expensive my first couple trips so you are spot on there. Blade combo definitely makes a difference.

Randy did a video on this in December. I’ve been doing this for a quite a while now and hoped it would stay a secret for a while longer. Oh well. Works real well in the spring and fall.

Guess this has been out for a little while. Thought just a few local folks were doing it.
