Even worse, the pleasure boaters might decide since it's 80, it's time to take the maiden voyage of their shiny new toys that they've got zero hours of experience with. Get a cooler full of beer and sit at the launch and enjoy the show.

Got out (finally) on a very small lake near here that’s a car top only launch. Caught 12 bass, biggest around 3lbs. Definitely a better start than how trout treated me (2 outings, 0 trout).

Got out yesterday and it was all of what I expected. Guys with new boats every where. Watched boat after boat at the launch forget to unhook straps, back sideways down the launch, motor after motor fired up before it was in the water. Then, got to enjoy a guy trying to extract every tenth of a mph out of his new rig, as he made run after run up and down the lake, trimming until the boat was chine walking enough we thought for sure he was going to go airborne. But, did catch a decent amount of fish.

Hammond like just over the border in PA. No speed limit, so folks like to come test our their rigs there.

A buddy and I were out at Waneta yesterday and had one of the best days of fishing in recent memory. The fish are moving up. We were catching them dirt shallow, against the bank. Well over 50 fish between the two of us in a 4 hour span, with several fish over 4 lbs.
