Just went to the vet with my dog Tin-Tin, but came back alone. I met Tinny 6 years ago shortly after Rocky passed. He was in the A S P C A in Wilmington Delaware. A funny looking dog that looked like a red Miniature Pinscher that was part rainbow, his back had a bigger arch in it than the one in Saint Louis. He was had cataracts and as I soon found out, very bad teeth. The A S P C A said if I had any other dogs to bring one, so I brought Minpin Lily. They said he was about 10 but I think they were thinking elephant years or something, he had about 300,000 miles on his frame. Anyhow, at the A S P C A they said hold your dog, have him smell her ass so I did. Then they said, have her smell his ass so I did. Neither one growled or bit me so they said "You got him, $150 please".
He soon went pretty blind, and deaf and the vet removed most of his teeth except one lower canine tooth so he sneered. We loved each other, I could tell he felt better when I held him, but he never wagged his stub or jumped on me when I came home.
Anyhow, he got an upper respiratory infection, and began having terrible seizures and stopped drinking water and a few other issues like losing bowel and bladder control so it was time. Me, and the vet put the solution in his vein at about 3 P M today and his eyes closed for the last time.
Gonna miss you boy, but sometimes you just have to let them go to stop their suffering.
Goodbye Tinny.
