    Charging batteries wired parallel

This is probably a stupid question but I don't want to screw something up. I have two 12 volt trolling batteries wired parallel...doubling the amperage but not the volts. I want to get a 2 bank battery charger to make life easier...right now I have a charger for each and unhook them after every trip to charge them. My question is...with the 2 bank charger will I still have to unhook them from each other every time I charge them? Thanks fellas!!

I THINK it would be a good idea to unhook the jumper between them before charging. If you only had a one bank charger, then it wouldn't matter. Since you already have a 2 bank, it could tell you if a problem ever develops in one of them.

Just connect each bank to each battery. Will be fine. Did it this way for several years.

No need to remove any jumpers.
