Moving back to Iowa

Hey guys I'm going to be moving back to Iowa in July to the Des Moines area. Was wondering if anyone could give any recommendations for good bass lakes in the area to try? I'm not scared to drive two or three hours for good ones.

Hello, I’m in sw Iowa (about 1hr 15min from Des moine) I would say little river would be good, bader creek, Big creek, west lake as well. There’s good lakes by Creston Iowa but a lot of these lakes mentioned have bass tournament on the weekend. I’m sure there’s some other lake to the east and north but I don’t know them.
