    appreciate the advice.
I do have a bass boat. I mean for the extra 5-8 minutes it takes me to get from selfridge launch to metro beach, also taking in account the costs, I’d rather launch from Selfridge.

I was looking for something closer to the 9 mile tower on colder days because the warmer days I obviously don’t mind the ride and that anchor Bay Area is awesome during spawn.

    thanks for the help though!

Maybe if the water is low, doubtful if you have walk thru windshield.

Man was it cold. First of the year and first after having my shoulder repaired.

I have a Ranger 212LS which is a Fish and Ski, not as shallow as a bass boat but not as tall as a multi species. I have 12' Talons on the back and a couple years ago I'd have to tilt them down to make it under, last year was no problem. I haven't been through this year yet but water seems lower than last year so I'd think you'd be fine, just go slow the first time to be sure.

Guys what’s the launch beside the Macomb Police facility?
I never noticed it until the other day.

At the end of South River Rd? That is Harley Ensign, it is a DNR launch

When I read your post about launching from Selfridge and running to the mile roads I wondered why you didn't launch from there instead.

Ya I had no idea about it until I seen it last time I was fishing near there.
I usually just ripped around and pass that area when getting to my deep spots last summer.
I’ll launch from there next time I’m out.
what are the costs to launch?

    We launch there often.
It can get busy in the summer mornings when I tournament is going out and then busy again in the afternoon when pleasure boaters are going out, but if you're quick to launch and load it isn't horrible.
If you have the Recreation Passport, which I'll assume you do since you're launching at Selfridge, it costs nothing.

    You're welcome

one thing that is better about Harley on busy day is there is a lot more room to maneuver than there is at Selfridge

Agree it has 9 docks and 2 lanes of prep area although plenty still think they should tie up a launch space getting ready

in the busy times during the summer they have a person directing traffic

Only down fall is the tie down area is small only 4 or 5 boats at a time and its a pain to get past if full

I always pull into a parking space and prep and the same when leaving I go to a parking space this way I'm out of every ones way

True, the tie down area can be a pain, I will usually pull past the tie down area and go to a parking spot towards the exit.

    I literally thought the opposite.
When I glanced at it driving by I thought it looked smaller than Selfridge but obviously I was wrong.
I’m going to use it the next time out.

I tried looking for the exact address but I’m getting Harley Ensign Memorial Access Site and that shows it at the end of S River road like you said, is that the location?
