    Spots in NC

Mike has never caught a spot. I’ve caught 1000’s on Table Rock and Lanier. For him to catch spots would it be better to drive to Hartwell, Lake Lanier or to fish Kerr or Gaston. I’m pretty sure the spots on Hartwell and Lanier are much bigger. They are both mainly spot lakes anyway. Is Gaston and Kerr productive for numbers?

    thanks

Gaston. I've caught just a handful of spots on Kerr and I fish it the most, but Gaston is full of them. You shouldn't have an issue catching a lot of spots at Gaston for a day of fishing. I can't speak for Hartwell or Lanier, never been.

You can catch plenty of spots on Gaston right now and they are getting big.

If you want to drive a little further, you cannot go wrong with Lake Norman for bigger spots

I can drive 3 hour and 15 and be on Hartwell where I know but dam I just don’t wanna drive. Right now at $4.19 a gallon I can’t really give my wife a reason to go alone lol

When you go to Gaston please fill your live wells full and bring them to back to the Raleigh lakes that way they’ll have some fish in them and hope for the future
