I believe it is safe to say these are made in the same Chinese factory. They are not identical but very similar.

    Jack Hammar:
    wire tied skirt
    2 wire hook keepers
    darker hook color
    22mm hook gap
    larger eyes
tip of blade has a bend line

    Jacky Hammar:
    thread tied skirt
    1 wire hook keeper
    shiny hook
    18mm hook gap
    Smaller eyes
tip of blade has a curl

Skirt material seems identical to me. It is interesting to note that stamped on the Jack Hammer blade is the Modo logo that is on the Jacky Hammar package. I'm guessing the real Jack Hammer is using a better quality hook. Overall I would say it's worth the price.
Thanks for the info, let us know how it runs in the water

Got 6 today look close but not identical, I agree with the above comments.

The holes for the snap on the knock off are slightly larger and the snap is different as well.
Blades are the same size , the knock off has a little more up bend at the tip of the blade.
The hook on the fake one is also a little longer Which I actually like.
We will see how they perform.

If you buy them from Japan, the packaging says "Modo" on it. So the JDM packaging is probably what they were knocking off.

YOU go throw a spinnerbait... I will continue to throw the chatterbait....and this comes from a guy that always had a spinnerbait tied on a rod on the deck. I will continue with the chatterbait now.

Admittedly I hardly ever throw a Chatterbait. But did buy a Jackhammer several months back. Threw it more today than I ever have and landed a 7.9. I’ll definitely throw it more now.
Question: the black blade has started peeling off showing the shiny finish underneath. Is that a turnoff for those of you who throw the ones with black blades?

I just use the original Z-Mann with great success. I catch plenty bass and redfish and I’ve never had one fail. I just don’t see paying high dollar for a Jackhammer and run the risk of losing it.

i just got some of jacky hammars in. they are close, but the eye on the jack hammer is smaller. i'm thinking the knock will be a little different.

i did clip a little excess wire off the eye of the hammars and bend them down some. i've got hubs to change out and a couple of batteries to buy before i'll get to fish them

Check out Picasso Lures. 1.5 and 2.0 oz shock blade chatterbaits. I throw them in the spring for musky. Might want to use your flipping sticks. They have smaller sizes as well.

This guy is selling the knockoffs stateside. I’m sure it will get shut down soon enough by Z-man… but get them while they’re available.
