Im going to look at a 1993 Champion 190 DC. Anything i should look out for on this model? I purchased a 181 in the past that had rotten stringers, not trying to go down that road again. Lol.

I have that same boat! Been a great boat, no problems structurally. Do the normal transom tap and motor bounce tests, of course. It's been a great boat!

Any idea on what year this boat is? Guy says it is a 1993, but all the 93 i see are more square on the top cap
The 93 190 and 204 have a beveled gunwale, not squared off like the 86" hulls. You can look at the last 4 characters of the HIN. The first is alpha, this is the month of manufacture, A=January, B=February, etc. The next digit is the year of manufacture. Model years changed about mid-year so it could have been built as earlt as June or July of 92 for a 93. Last 2 digits are the title year. So if they are 93, it's a93.
Thanks for the reply. Going to look at it in the morning.
That looks nice. Hope it works out for you.

Your picture looks just like mine. Definitely a 1993
I brought it home!!! What size jackplate would work best on this boat?
I had a 5.5" CMC on mine. I was told it needed an 8" to get full potential. I couldn't do it as I didn't have the room to spare for storage.
Congrats on the purchase!
Factory plates were 6" Rapid Jack. No better manual plate made --> Hydro Dynamics manufacturer of Manual Jack Plates and Accessories (hydrodynamics-usa.com)
I'm running a 8" rapid jack on my 95 190

Thanks for all the help. I ended up passing on the boat due to a wet transom.
