Thinking about updating electronics at console

So bass pro has the helix gen 3 models on sale. Are these really that much better than the 1100 series units. Is it worth it. I don’t tournament fish but I do use my electronics a lot.

I think they are better than the 1100s. How much better is subjective though. I have 2 gen 3s and 2 gen 4s. Not a lot of difference between the two. The helix gen3 isn’t being manufactured anymore (except helix 5) so they should be on sale. BPS must have found some of those shipping containers that were waiting to get unloaded from the freighters?

There is a good difference in imaging between legacy units like the 1100 and the Mega units
But unless you get the same size screen or bigger it really won’t be that big of a difference
Mapping has improved some as well
and you can run the M360 if you choose

I say if you can afford it why not

It looks like the helix 9 screen size is about the same as the legacy 1197. I think I probably would be happy with it. Imagining has to be better.
