Ballistic closing???

My buddy said he just talked with a Ballistic owner who learned that Ballistic is closing up shop. Is this true? I thought they had a good backlog.

They are one of the best looking boats ever built with lots of good features.

I hope the company prospers and continues.

I was thinking the same thing. Zero activity on the this board.. I came real close to buying one 6 months ago. If they are closing what will happen to the value of the boats?

Well, I would think the warranty would be null and void without a manufacturer to fulfill it.

I think you all have the wrong info. I talked to Jim Wells (owner of Ballistic) over the weekend. They are moving the shop to Texas to be a little better located for most of their customers. He hopes they are moved and back to building boats wide open within the next month or two.

I think moving to Texas or the Southeast would reduce shipping costs and produce a more efficient operation.

Yep, they are working on relocation to TX is what I also heard from a very reliable source.

I also spoke with Jim couple days ago..got their moved to Lonestar, Tx finished up. They are currently getting everything setup in their new location and hope to be back up and running in next month or so..

My .223 is in the Hughes Springs, Tx shop now for some minor warranty work. Jim has provided the absolute best customer service / warranty experience I have ever had regardless of the product. I'm a huge fan!
