USA Rock Krawler vs Wiggle Wart

I know the old warts are good and some of them are worth their weight in gold but has anyone picked up any RK 55s or RK 50s and had success at a similar level as they did with the old tried and true wiggle warts from back in the day that are tough to find? Is the RK 55 or the 50 closer in shape to the original wiggle wart? What was the most amount of money one of you guys has ever spent on a single old school wiggle wart-me personally $25 .

Took all the Warts outta my boat. Strictly Rock Crawlers and a "FireCraw" brand made locally. Wart quality, now, does not result in much action for me. Just my opinion.

That are now making a "Deep" Wart. Haven't fished it yet.

Rock Crawlers run a couple feet deeper. They both catch fish. I do like original Warts in muddy water though.

The Rock Crawler 55 is great when the fish are deeper (9 to 12ft) and the 50 is a good Wiggle Wart replacement if you don't have any pre-Rapala Warts. The Phantom Red Craw and the Green Craw are especially good on the lakes I fish.

Ive got 3 full boxes of pre-Rap warts and I RARELY throw them anymore. RK50 does the same thing for me and it comes in a standard color that the warts never came in that has won me a pile of $$$ when the conditions are right.

I have caught some nice fish on a RC 55 craw color early in the year.

Rock Crawlers catch more rocks than they crawl over for me.

Yep. I whacked them on one a few weeks ago. I have one color and bought a few extras after the first trip with it. At 5.99, it's significantly cheaper than a Rock Crawler.

I have found them to be a good compliment to each other. I can fish through an area with the RC, which runs a little deeper, then go back a little shallower with the wart and pick up fish. As mentioned above, not all original Warts are the same but I have had my butt beat from the back of the boat when I was throwing a RC so I believe that some are really magical. I also have some custom new mold Warts that are also good so you don't have to throw a $50 original Wart to get bit.

I have been using the original mag warts for most of my fishing life, and yes a few are magical those you keep for the special times when needed. I'm going to try a Rock crawler this season and see how they perform. I mostly throw the Magnum Wiggle Warts those work for me more then the smaller ones

I love the Wiggle Wart but I hate losing them. The RC's fish like a wart but a so much cheaper.

What’s everyone paying for RKs? At my local Academy I see them between 9 and 11 bucks.

$9.99 is pretty much standard. They come with a good set of Gammy hooks that I don't bother changing out.

Cheaper at $5.99, but you definitely need to change out the hooks and rings before you fish it.

That's in the ballpark. Wait until LandBigFish has a 20% off sale, then load up.

I think that’s about the best way to find a good deal on them.
