    Replacing trailer suspension hardware

I have a 2004 EZ loader custom trailer. I ordered all the hardware from EZ loader by phone. The shackles on my trailer are 2 1/4" center to center of bolt holes. They didn't have this size shackle on their website hence the phone call. The person I talked to talked to their techs and he said he had a set of galvanized 2 1/4" shackles. I ordered them and all the other parts I need. When I got the order the shackles are 2 1/2" center to center. Sent an email and was told they were fine to use. Will these change the geometry of the suspension? Should I find 2 1/4" some where else?

It will be fine, will give you like 1/10" of a inch lift and some more space between the fender and tires. I really like the dexter wet bolts kit for shackles they are much more sturdy and greasable

The shackles on my trailer now are 2 1/4 and the new ones are 2 1/2 so the trailer will be lower with the 2 1/2 shackles.

It lifts on a single, but lowers a tandem.

I am surprised that EZ Loader answered the phone. I haven’t been able to contact them in quite some time. Thanks.
