I just set up my Helix for ice fishing, hooked up everything correct, unit was off for a couple hours and I was going to put a neoprene cover on the transducer and it was pretty warm, anyone know what would cause this?

I do know that the Mega Live continues to use power even when out of the water "watching" for the wet switch to be activated. If the Mega Live is connected to power, this will continue even if the control head is off.
My guess is that it wouldn't feel warm under normal use but, with ice fishing, it wouldn't take much to feel warm.

You're master power was on, turn off the master power switch each time you are done using it.
Yep I left the power on, thanks
