    The reason it takes so long is because evidence technology changes. There have been people exonerated after 10, 20, 30 years in prison due to evidence changes.

    Not that some people aren't, without a doubt, 100% guilty. But, there are an estimated 50,000 prisoners currently serving life/death sentences who were wrongfully convicted.

    Seems like every time I watch the news there is a judge, DA or police department being brought down on corruption, evidence withholding/tampering, jury intimidation.

    Not saying some of these people don't deserve a .22 to the back of the head right after they are convicted. But there are a lot of people who don't.

    Exactly. It is one thing to put an innocent man in prison for 20+ years. It is a different thing to kill him.
