    Road Trip South

    I live in Ohio and would like to take the shortest road trip south(ish) this winter that would get to a region with lakes that do not freeze over. How are the lakes in KY, TN in the winter months?

    When I take trips down from Michigan, Dale Hollow is the one that is the shortest drive.

    We've got Smith Mountain Lake, Lake Anna, Buggs Island, Lake Gaston, James River, Potomac River.

    Come on down. Nothing usually freezes over, but it's freaking cold right now!
