I have an Echomap 93sv UHD that I want to power up inside the house to edit waypoints but a new cradle/gimble cost about $50. Will this cradle work for power only or is there a power adapter that fits directly to the MFD without a cradle?

You will need the power cord that connects to the red connector on back of cradle.

Why not skip it altogether and use Active Captain?
That may be the answer. I have Active captain but don’t know much about it. So far only used it for updates.
I will watch some uTube videos and see if I can use it for what I am trying to do.

Looking at the part you posted, it's showing its for the older 93 units (pre EC Plus). That part number is different than what is for the 93 UHD......According to the Garmin website, its not compatible with the 93UHD model.....also the ports in the rear are not in the same positions as the UHD cradle......
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it wont work.....
Bill, you can also use Homeport to edit waypoints.......download from Garmin and use on your home PC.

I have 3 93sv Plus units and I have taken one of the cradles off the boat that is for the non UHD unit. I recently purchased a 93sv UHD and have put the 93 uhd in the non UHD cradle and have turned the UHD unit on a few times to check it out on the demo mode. As for me the new 93SV UHD will run in the cradle for the non UHD 93sv plus. Both the UHD unit and the non UHD pop into the non UHD cradle. I did notice that the photo of the cradle in the first post the back is a mirror image of my cradle as to where the connectors are located.

I have one 2020 95plus and one 2021 UHD 95sv, each unit can work in either cradle. I asked gamin support before trying it out they said it was ok the interchange the units.
The cradle in the top picture is for the chirp units, the ports are all backwards but it does have the correct amount of pins but they are also backwards.

Thanks Guys, All I want is for the unit to fit in the cradle and power up, not concerned about hooking up a transducer. I noticed that the cradle specified for my unit says “12 pin connector” which I assume is the transducer. I am confident enough at this point to purchase the $28 one instead of the $50 one if I can’t figure out how to edit waypoints in Active Captain.
FC - I downloaded Homeport from a previous post when you were helping me understand how to edit waypoints. It does allow me to do mass edits on waypoints and I now have the file edited to my satisfaction.
I imported the file from an sd card to Homeport in .adm format but when I try to export it back to the sd card, the only option I see is .gpx; that has me confused. I am still fumbling around, but I think .gpx will alter the waypoint symbols, Not sure though. I got tired of running back and forth to the parking pad after 5 minutes on the computer, especially with the cold fronts that keep sweeping across the country so thought an extra cradle would be nice.
I am following up on investigating the Active Captain in hopes I can do mass waypoint edits, but I don’t hold out much hope.
