    Active Target no Data Source

    So yesterday I started getting no data source msg when running Active target. Checked all the connections, restarted everything. It would just come back on after a few minutes. Just to have it go out again.

    Anyone ran into something similar? Gonna take a look at all my cables today to see if there is anything obvious.

    Go o SETTINGS, ADVANCED and activate LOWRANCE 360 TAB.

    Watch Marks vidoe's too.

    Everytime I had a no source I would have to go into menu and select the proper transducer

    I'll try that, the intermittent part is what is throwing me off.

    I haven’t had this issue with my Active Target but I used to have this issue intermittently with my Livesight transducer. I never did find a cause or solution.

    intermittent No Source has got to be related to Power or Ethernet.

    And make sure the software version is the same for the AT and your head unit.

    I had "no source" intermittently, not on startup but after having AT running for a few minutes, then it would drop out every few minutes, come back then go "no source" again - this was with all latest (at the time) updates. I had the AT box from my previous boat, swapped it and it worked totally fine. This problem AT box was returned under warranty (2022 Z21xl) by my dealer and Lowrance sent me a new one.

    No software updates have been applied since after the first time I installed it about a year ago. Thanks for that info Jonathan

    Encouraging to hear. Thanks.

    Mine was giving the intermittent No Data Source right from the start. Worst thing is that it happened on day one of my vacation, but I still have my sonar and structure scan and they'll do just fine!

    Update: No Data Source all the time now. Pulled the power cord and will send the *%#@* to Lowrance after I get home. They've got to work on their quality control.

    I was having the same issue. It appears my Carbon 12 has a bad ethernet port as when I switched ports the problem went away. Probably won't send back to Lowrance as I don't need two ports on that unit.
