    Installing new garmins

I purchased two 93SV’s on black Friday to replace some hummingbird 2d units currently on my boat. I’m preparing for the install and am curious about transducers.

I’ll have the transducer for the console unit mounted on the transom, but don’t know if I should mount a separate transducer on the trolling motor for the bow unit?

im very new to all this and just want to do it right. Each unit came with its own transducer, but I don’t know if it’s needed or not? My boat dealer charges a flat rate for install, so there’s no cost difference.

I recommend each unit has their own transducer.

One of the things I've seen using LiveScope is that when I cast a lure to a fish and miss it by 15-20 ft, I am not going to catch it. If you fish from the bow, you might want a transducer on the trolling motor.
My wife asks if I'm going to fish every day. I can't fish every day. Some days I might be sick.
