Best Froggin Lake in Michigan? This might be up there

What makes a great frog fishing lake for you? I wasn't expecting to find one of these in northern L.P. of Michigan. Any of you fish this one before?

I'm shocked you didn't catch any smallmouth. It has big ones in there.

Never got one. I didn't see much that looked like smallmouth water in there. That is very interesting Mike.

That really blows the mind knowing that and the bottom make up on that lake. There must be something I missed while fishing it. Maybe the extreme north end where it connects to other lakes. Water is clear so you would think springtime you might be able to find them. It is a beautiful lake. Thanks for that info Mike.

That's the only "Night" that you understand.

Buzz baits can be dangerous at night. Seen a few bats in my days out night fishing too. The scariest thing for me is other boaters. I remember night fishing Devil's Lake in Irish hills and it was one of the scariest fishing trips I've ever had. People racing around in the dark. Some not even putting their lights on. Others just too drunk to know even what they were doing.

Party lakes are not the best for safety.... Week days are better for sure. The northern lakes don't seem to be like that.

Agree. Party lakes do tend to have a good night bite given the day activity on them.
