    If I want to re-power, is there a market for a used 250 G-2

I have a 250 G-2 purchased new in 2018 with a 10 year warranty. I am not sure if the warranty is transferable my hope is it would be.
How would you go about selling this motor, it has the additional data screen, power steering and hot foot

Why would you want to repower? You own the fastest, cleanest and most fuel efficient outboard available.

I am at 6 months and counting for a new lower unit (not warranty) and cowling pieces.
the only service center I have is 5 hours away and he is quitting.
for the record I own (2) G-2 motors, I also have a 300 on my Tri-toon and this is my 5th BRP motor going back to the G-1 series so I know the product. The toon gets maybe 20-30 hours use a year but the bass boat gets a lot more and I am frustrated with the lack of service.

I can understand that but heed ChampionMan’s advice also.

Is your used G2 freshwater use? and what size shaft? I'm looking for a 25 inch shaft.

As I stated in my first post, I am (have been) a loyal Evinrude buyer, I have a 300 G2 on my Tri-toon as well.
there is no place for me to get service, maybe it’s different where you live but not for me.

I got every option on my 250 G2 and the 10 year warranty (are they transferable?) it has been a good motor with very minor issues.
eventually it will have a new lower unit and prop which I think is the best time to sell, I just don’t know the best way to get that done.

to Rikert, yes only fresh water on a local lake, always garage stored and a 25” shaft.

So I have to ask....Why a 25" shaft engine for a boat that only requires a 20" shaft?
