Lol, call it what you want to. You have to be convicted to be a felon.

As mentioned file and use cobra. Don’t cash in 401k as you will be penalized and taxed on it. Carry over in IRA until can transfer on the next gig. Getting out of retail management was the best thing I did….

This is interesting, you have to find a prosecutor willing to prosecute. (Sarcasm)

Some people just don't understand the concept of innocent until proven guilty.

FIFY ... and don't even bother trying to justify it. A crook is a crook.
Whether it's passive or aggressive, personal or impersonal. Felony.

It's odd how "certain people" can be in hock to the IRS for decades and owe millions of $ and never even be charged, despite it being public knowledge, huh?
Don't bother me, I'm screwing for virginity.

I killed a 12-pack just to watch it die.

No one has committed a felony unless proven guilty in a court of law.

Fired - you won't get SSI if filed. If they dont fight the claim, you MAY get it
Oboma Care - Get it if you can. tRump sliced out most of the usable benifits
Cobra - You can get it, but it will be a significant cost, esp. with dependents

Yes, apply immediately for unemployment. In Florida, you'd be turned down for it, but apply now.
COBRA will apply, it's there regardless of separation cause. Your wife might have cheaper options.
Immediately suspend all non-essential expenses. Review your savings, budget, etc. and be aware.

If you need a resume done, send me a PM. We can do it as a team. I'm equipped to help you.
And remember, your wife and kids need you to be calm, reassuring and strong. Keep the spirit.
This ^^^^, your a good man Tampa Jim !

good point about being fired, if you were truely fired not laid off. Don't think you can claim Unemployment in most states.

lots of good advice already, but I would add. If you have social media accounts, pray you haven't been posting things that might turn away potential employers, change what you can. Do a google search on yourself and see what comes up, prospective employers will.

Yet you admit to imbibing with MJ while it's still a Federal crime.

He can always file a claim. Even if he is denied initially, he can appeal. This happened to me with a job in Oklahoma. Had a hearing by phone between me, a DOL rep, and the HR Mgr. I won when l stated that l was tasked by the Asst. Plant Mgr with doing the very thing they termed me for and it was by email. Asked me if l had the email, of course l did not because l no longer had access to company email. But, l insisted that it was real. The rep asked the HR Mgr for the email or to talk to the Asst. Plant Mgr. She had neither available. The hearing ended and later l received notice that l would be receiving benefits. A month later l was working again. In total, it was about a 2.5 month ordeal and they back paid the benefits.

Apply for unemployment. If your wife has benefits you can get on with her insurance. Being terminated or laid off from a job qualifies as a life event and you can add people to an insurance policy.

Uh oh, did you see me post MJ pricing from a Google search?
I don't drink, smoke or even cuss very well. I don't speed either.
But please, invite the past/future felons over to your place.
