Do you carry concealed while fishing?

For people with concealed carry permits (or those living in States that don't require permits) do you carry while fishing?

I do. I've never heard of a shooting, robbery or anything while someone was fishing in a boat, but I carry every day, everywhere (that's legal) so I carry when I'm fishing too.

I carry nearly everywhere, but normally put it in the tackle locker when fishing. It’s always on me at the ramp.

Something about boat ramps after dark that makes the crazy come out of some folks.

While fishing, the pistol is in a convenient storage compartment with keys, wallet, and other stuff. But going to and from the landing to the boat and while driving, concealed.

Had an “uncomfortable experience” several years ago at an isolated boat ramp when launching alone. Two guys just showed up out of nowhere. Luckily another vehicle came up and they ran off. Signed up for the class and got my CC. Never launch or load without carrying. Store it with my keys and such while fishing.

Thankfully I have never had a situation where I needed it. regardless, I keep it on my person; even in the boat.

I always carry, always kept an extra holster in the boat for it. Never had any problems but one night about 3am I parked at the dock and started walking to the truck. It didn't look very good and getting closer to the truck I thought I might be attacked. Must have been 50 of them. Luckily they moved away from the truck giving me a stare out of the corner of their eye and saying things I couldn't understand. I was wondering how they might have printed my obituary, Man killed by geese

S&W model 686 - 6" barrel, holster mounted on the console right at the windshield in my Tracker 185 and
one under the console for trailering.

It lives in the boat, with a box of ammo and I display it, my feeling is people should know before hand what the results of their stupidity
    will be.

Yeah - posts #3 and #5 are familiar to me too.

IMO, two types of people show up at a boat ramp: boaters, and trouble.

The only time I don't carry is in the shower. I won't stow my carry firearm anywhere in the boat or truck. It stays on my person. My last confrontation where it saved me wasn't in the boat but in the parking lot of a Home Depot but it has come in handy on the water also. Few years ago I stepped in to aid a CO who was about to be overcome. So yes I do carry while fishing.

I always carry. When in the boat I store it in the glovebox in the passenger console. I don't expect trouble on the water but I won't leave it in an unattended vehicle.

I had a gentleman threaten to shoot me about 15 yrs ago for fishing his dock.....It goes in the holster before the rods go in the boat.

Yep ever since I was minding my own business and a drunk guy in a big ass ski boat drifted in to the side of my boat at a boat ramp. He then tried to start a fight with me. I explained I was anchored and there is no way I could have hit him. He was so upset I left and he followed me to continue it.
