Are leaking gaskets worth replacing? 1999 175hp merc

OG883468 serial num. the exhaust chest plate gaskets and head gaskets are leaking.

Haven’t had any problems with this motor but it is a 1999. Do y’all think it’s worth repair?

    Absolutely.

Another thing to keep in mind: If you can observe a water leak while the engine is idling (at say 2-5 psi water pressure), imagine the focused high-pressure streams that are blasting around when you're at WOT.

Additionally, if gaskets are deteriorated enough to permit water leakage OUTSIDE the surface, it's highly likely that they are also permitting leakage INSIDE the surface. Both gaskets seal water jackets AND other (non-water containing) passages (examples: Exhaust or Combustion chambers, neither of which should have water introduced to).

And, if water is leaking from places it shouldn't be, flow and pressure where it should be is reduced as well.
