    2013 PT190 Wiring Question

    I have a 12V TM, 55 ft lbs and thinking about going 24V. Will I have to upgrade the wiring if I switch over to 24V? I don't have the boat here so I don't know what gauge wire is in it at this time. Thanks

    No, just add a second battery and a jumper from positive to negative to make it 24 volts, and a 60 amp breaker if you don't have one already.

    Yep I had to do the same thing. 12V motor on a boat that size on Kentucky Lake just wasn't cutting it. Might want to think about upgrading the trolling motor plug receptacle as well, but not a must.
