8612xsv vs 8612 for Livescope only

8612 xsv or 8612 for using livescope only? Any difference between the 2 when it comes to running livescope ?

I have the 8612, great unit. Love it, use it only for Livescope.
If I had it to do over again I would probably buy the 8612xsv. I think it cost about $500 more.
Reason is resale value. Most want to be able to hook up other transducers besides Livescope. You can do this with an 8612 if you purchase a black box, I think it cost about $500 as well, lol.
Really love my 8612. If your 100% sure you will never use it for anything other than LS then save yourself some $$$, it is a great unit.

Is there a big difference in viewing livescope between the 1222 and the 8612? Is it a lot better image?

People, will tell you to buy the 1222 to save some $$. Last year I had a 1242 for livescope only and it was good BUT I changed to an 8610 last summer since it offers the best resolution for screen size and I (and a small handful of others on here) will tell you the image is better on the 8600 series units.
