Did MB just increase pricing across their USDM lines? Or is ALF having an issue.

Tackle Trap also jumped. wtf?
Ouch!
Looks like Punch either knew or posted a super quick reaction vid on YT.
I don’t see how the Levante is going to compete at $250. I thought it was a solid choice between Zodias, Victory, and Rebellion Now not so much.
I could also justify the Orochi over the Expride line, but just barely. Again now you’re that much closer to legend elites and GLX’s and the Orochi can’t compete there.
I understand materials might be going up but tell your customers ahead of time and justify the increase on a 4 year old line of sticks. MB just left a sour taste in my mouth with this.
Inflation + devaluation of a Fiat Currency will affect all in the supply and demand chain...and that is from raw materials, to manufacturing, to shipping, wholesale, to retail. Give it a bit of time and see what happens within the first quarter 2022, and throughout the rest of the quarters of this year.
IMO, this isn't just a Megabass anomaly.
Voting matters.
As to not awaken Big Brother...100% Truth. Leave it to suffice that pricing will go up for fishing tackle as well, even those with offshore "made in third world countries" monikers and labels. It ain't just beef, ham, gasoline, eggs, bread and milk...
Megabass may just be more proactive than other brands and starting their shock-treatment conditioning a bit earlier than other brands. This said, it may leave an open door for those companies that are just entering the market and hoping to gain market share, even at the expense of lower than expected ROI.
This will probably be seen across the board soon. Unfortunate but true... SMH
I would hope though for brands with a pretty serious following they would let us know. With all the sales last month I would have pre-ordered a few things if I knew it would save me 1 to 2 hundred bucks. Now I feel like I'm best served just stepping back from buying anything and seeing where the chips fall. If a shop like Dobyns, or St. Croix or even a tiny guy like Doomsday Tackle or Witch Doctor don't increase price I might stop buying MB.
I think it just bothers me when companies don't get in front of news like increased pricing. Your customer should be priority one.
St Croix has slowly increased their prices as well. St Croix increased pricing by $20-$50 (ex. BassX rods are 120-150, used to be $100.. LTBs are 280, used to be 250).
Kislter had the most volatile pricing. Imo they aren’t worth full retail but on sale it’s a great buy.
I really liked doomsday products, sucks They stopped making baits

St Croix has raised prices slightly not sure about all models but I know the Legend Elites have gone up $20 in last month. I believe Legend Extremes had same amount price increase also. I was waiting for the 7'0" MF legend elite spinning rod to become available again it was $420 initially now it's $440.
Personally, I believe that when inventory and availability becomes "strangled" to a trickle essentially across the board on nearly all brands and models, along with the discontinuing of many models within the lineups; that there is very likely an adjustment coming when renewed inventory to dealers intersects with "the suddenly available" product to buyers...
At the higher adjusted-for-inflation/fiat-devaluation prices..as per the Grey Poupon tag line/moto - "but of course".

Not worth is as a bunch of them turn into two piece rods after you use them a couple times.
Things get more expensive over time (well except TVs). Companies can raise prices or lower costs. St. Croix has done a bit of both. Generally, however, the increase comes slowly or with a new model. 25% increase on an existing model is rough. Then again, maybe Megabass is trying to keep their high end reputation, rather than making their rods with cheaper components (or labor). We can complain about inflation, but the typical way to slow inflation is to cause a recession, which doesn't seem like a great plan right now.

350 bucks for a rod that might have $9 worth of eniginnering, materials, logistics etc…in it.
I like my toys probably even more than the next guy but things are getting out of hand.
Keep your dollars working here at home as much as you can folks.
Everything is going up, particularly high dollar stuff where people are willing to pay an inflated price for what they believe to be a superior product. MB, Loomis and the other high dollar suppliers I'm sure are hit with cost increases like everyone else. I doubt their sales will be bothered. People that play that game don't mind the expense. I doubt people that would buy a $400 rod or reel are going stop buying because the cost is now $425, or $450.
You guys should quit sending your wives or significant others to the grocery store.
Let's not even talk about gasoline prices. $0.31 increase here in last two weeks.
