    Tatula SV TW availability

Will Daiwa be obsoleting this model this spring? Interested in getting 2 more, want to grab them before they quit - preferably at a discount like most reels that go extinct.

    Thanks,

    Mike

I can't imagine that they would be getting rid of this reel considering how popular it is. Now I will say that currently they are offering both the 2017 version and the 2020 version, so I could see them possibly discontinuing the 2017 model, but I'd be very surprised if they discontinue both.

Tackletrap - a board sponsor, will set you up if you need more. Give them a call for great pricing.

Neither the 2017 nor the 2020 model are not presently being discontinued. Like a lot of things, inventory is often difficult to acquire!

So, what’s the difference between the 2017 and 2020 model reels?

Arguably the most significant difference between them is the frame size. The 2020 version is smaller, lighter, more compact. Both are great performing reels and very popular, some guys simply prefer the larger framed reel of the 2017 version as it fits in their hands better while others like the smaller, lighter 2020 version.

A wealth of information. Thanks Bronzefly. Good to know as I add to my stable of Daiwa reels.
